KMC launches radio education programme for school youngsters


Kathmandu, 11 June- The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has commenced ' radio education programme' for facilitating the studying of school children at domestic thru alternative manner during the lockdown period.
KMC on Wednesday launched the radio schooling programme from fundamental to elegance 10 degree thru Metro FM. KMC has been working the Metro FM radio station.
Mayor and chair of KMC's education committee, Bidya Sundar Shakya inaugurated the 'radio education programme' to be aired through Metro FM 94.6 Megahertz. On the occasion, mayor Shakya stated KMC has started out the programme concentrated on school children analyzing in basic level to class 10 so that they could learn through alternative approach at their houses as their everyday classes could not be run at colleges at some stage in the lockdown period.
He stated students reading at ninety one community colleges, 3 special colleges and 643 institutional schools within the town might be directly and circuitously benefited with the aid of the radio training programme being run by KMC.
